IMO Life-Saving Appliance (LSA) Code: This governs maritime survival gear—lifeboats, lifejackets, evacuation systems—with mandatory testing under the SOLAS Convention.

ISO PAS 23678: Developed by Survival Systems International, this is a specialized training and competency framework for life-saving appliance technicians. It’s designed to meet Resolution MSC.402(96) and is being adopted by flag administrations globally.
